PARISH MEETINGS.
ST. MICHAEL'S CHUHCH. The annual meeting of parishioners of SI. Michael's Church was held last evening in the schoolroom. The Rev. C. E. Perry, who presided over a good attendance, stated that the number of baptisms had fallen oil', and this appeared to be due partly to neglect. The attendance of communicants had hold up, due no doubt to the excellent example shown by the sisters of the church. The choir had done good work in spite of the depletion of men, whilst * the Sewing Guild, the Mothers' Union, the C.E.M.S. and other organisations had proved a loyal support. The statement of receipts and expenditure presented by the churchwardens showed a credit balance of 05. r > 10/-. This was not a credit on the actual working, but recently eight Christchurch Building Society shares had matured and been included iii the receipts. Officers were elected as follow:—Vicar's warden, Mr 11. W. Bishop; parishioners' warden, Dr. Manning; vestry, Messrs C. Lord, C. E. Jones, I). Fox, ,1. Reynolds, W. li. Dixon, W. Barrett, J. H. Upliam, W. G. Jamiesou, S. McMurray, and Dr. Sandston.
