TROUBLE ON MOTUIHI.
FIGHT BETWEEN PRISONERS. Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 4. A German interned at Motuihi has been in Auckland Hospital since February 11, suffering from a fracture of the jaw, allegedly inflicted by a compatriot, who also is interned. It will be remembered that at the official inquiry into the escape of Germans evidence was given regarding a note of warning left for the authorities. As far as ascertainable this mysterious epistle created ill-feeling among some of the prisoners, who were concerned about its authorship. It is understood that one German, formerly a resident of Samoa, formed a suspicion against an exAucklander sharing captivity. He attacked the latter, and broke his jaw. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the assailant, who will be charged with assault causing bodily harm.
