DOMINION TOURNAMENT. SINGLES COMMENCED. Press Association. DUNEDIN, January 21. The singles competition in connection with the Dominion Bowling Association's Tournament was begun this morning. The weather was fine, hut windy. The following Canterbury players won in the first round: —Duggan (Canterbury), Fraser (United), Gagliardl (Edgeware), Daniels (Christchurch), Redpath (Canterbury), Orchard (Christchurch), Barnett (Canterbury), Wyatt (Christchurch), Morrison (Christchi'rch), Woolt' (United), Henderson (Lyt-t.-:t-. ). Tin- following lost In the first round:— Atkinson (United), Spiller (Sydenham), Shearman (Edgeware), Burson (Linwood), Brown (United), Maynard (Canterbury), Finlayson (Canterbury), Finnegan (Canterbury). THE SECOND ROUND. The following won in the second round:— Duggan (Canterbury), Fraser (United), Shearman (Edgeware), Burson (Linwood), Atkinson (United), 'Woolf (United), and Finnegan (Canterbury). The following lost in the second round:— Spiller (Sydenham), Barnett (Canterbury), Gagliardl (Edgeware), Daniels (Christchurch), Bedpath (Canterbury), Orchard (Christchurch), Morrison (Christchurch), Calvert (Sydenham), Henderson (Lytteltou;, and Brown (United).
