TENDERS HIS RESIGNATION. Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 30. Mr P. C. Webb, M.P. for Grey, has sent the following letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives:— Sir, —I beg to tender my resignation as a member of the House of Representatives to take effect as from one week after the close of the present session. 1 take this step because it is abundantly clear from the nature of the petitions and telegrams received from every part of my electorate, and from the goldand coal-miners throughout New Zealand, that the general interests of the electorate and special interests should not be unrepresented in Parliament.
