■ A spring fair will be held at the Bichmoud Methodist Church to-morrow afternoon. An election notice by the Waipara County Council is advertised in this issue. A lecture is to be given by Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., in the Opera House, Tuam Street, on Tuesday evening next, at 8 o'clock, on "The Coming German Collapse." The proceeds are in aid ot the Lady Liverpool Comforts Fund. At the Wellington Magistrate's Court - this morning a boy 9 years of age was remanded on charges of breaking and entering, and theft, from various business promises at Petone. It is also alleged that he endeavoured to set fire to one establishment. Out of 129 men, originally classed C2, who have been recently examined by' the Special C2 Reexamination Board at certain centres in the Nelson area group, seven men were passed as in class A and 05 as CI. These are not the complete figures for the re-examina-tions in the Nelson area group.
