On Monday evening a meeting of the New Brighton Fire Brigade Committee was held, Superintendent W. Sherwood presiding. It was derided to send monthly parcels to Brighton members at the front. The annual enrhre and dance will be held on August 22, all surplus money to be donated to the Rod Cross funds. The sum of .€5 7/2 was received from the Joyland Picture benefit to the brigade. Harding is in the lead for the Cadet Championship. On Tuesday the Ladies’ RHie Class fired a return match on the home range, when the Crown ladies’ team won by six points.
