NAVAL COMFORTS FUND.
The Women's Auxiliary Committee of the Canterbury (N.Z.i Branch of the Ncvy League acknowledges, witli thanks, the following cash donations of £1 each from Mrs E. Harris (Christchurch) and Mr ,J. E. Todhunter (Clarence Bridge); also gifts in kind from the following:—Mrs Beckett (Fendalton), Miss Hawkins, Mrs J. W. Munday, Mrs W. N. Macbeth, Miss B. Macbeth, Mrs E. Harris, and Mrs Burden. These comforts are for the men of the Royal Navy, the blind and wounded sailors in naval hospitals, and for naval prisoners of war in enemy countries. Gifts of balaclavas, cuffs, handkerchiefs, mittens, mufflers, chest and lung protectors, socks, stockings, hot-water hags and waistcoals, also cigarettes, pipes, tobacco, tins of jams, cocoa, condensed milk, coffee, tea, treacle or golden syrup, Mellin's Food, cheese, sardines, sweets, arrowroot," sago, sugar, hooks, writing paper, Christmas cakes and puddings, will he gratefully received by the committee. These gifts may Be left at 113 Worcester Street, Christchurch, Between the hours of ID a.m. and 12 noon, and 2 and 4 p.m. on 'Wednesday of every week. Ir= =\\
