HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The management committee of the Canterbury Hockey Association met last evening, when there were present: Messrs W. Simpson (chairman), J. Sopor, 11. Luxton, E. N. Smith, W. E. Cook, C. Bellamy, C. Jones, N. Goldsbury, S. Morris, B. Morris, and H. Rogers (secretary). The resignation of Mr A. A. Cotton, who lias left for camp, was received with regret, and Mr 11. Luxton was unanimously elected to the vacancy. A letter was received from the Canterbury Football Association, offering its ground at St. Albans for any important matches. The letter was acknowledged with thanks. Mr G. W. Ford, who acted as supervisor of the fivc-a-side tournament on June 4, forwarded a report, in which he congratulated the association on the very complete arrangements made on that day. A unanimous vote of thanks was accorded Mr Ford for his able assistance in making the function a success.
The secretary was instructed to notify all club secretaries and referees of the laxity in forwarding results of matches.
