HURUNUI RABBIT TRUSTEES.
A meeting of the Ilurunui Rabbit Trustees was held at Culverden on Saturday, the .'ird inst., there being present: Mr Geo. Rutherford (in the chair), Mr Godfrey Rutherford, and Inspector Munro. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs Thomas Chapman, James Douglas, and T. C. Robinson. The inspector reported that during the month The Peaks, Medbury, Balmoral," Culverden, and Upper Waiau districts were Inspected. Proceedings for not destroying rabbits had been taken against two owners in The Peaks district, one owner in the Balmoral district and one owner in the Upper Waiau district. Final notice has been given to two owners in the Upper Waiau district. The caretaker of the Upper Waiau section of fence resigned, and the secretary was instructed to call applications for the position. The secretary reported that the annual accounts had been audited by the Government Auditor, and will be published in the local newspapers during the current month. Accounts amounting to £lO2 6/tl were passed for payment.
