CRUISER MINED.
RURIK BADLY DAMAGED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK. March 7. A Berlin message states that the Russian armoured cruiser Rurik struck a mine in the Gulf of Finland and was badly damaged. [The Rurik is nn armoured cruiser of l. r >,ooo tons. She carries four 10 inch, eight 8-inch, and 34 smaller guns, with two submerged torpedo tubes. She lias a complement of 900.]
