DANGER EVER PRESENT. MELBOURNE, March 7. Mr J. Cook (Minister of the Navy) officially contradicts the report which was circulated yesterday evening regarding the sinking of twoAustralian troopships. Replying to certain questions in the House of Representatives he said that neither troopships nor lives had heen lost. More could not now bo said, but the dangers to Australia in connection with the war were nof less than they were.
