FRENCH HOUSES WRECKED. Australian and N.Z. Gable Association. (Received March 5, 1.40 p.m.) PARIS. March 4. The "Official Journal* states that in 754 communes liberated from the enemy, 40,203 houses were partially t»r completely destroyed, excluding over 1300 churches and other public buildings. In 147 communes between 50 and 100 per cent of the houses were destroyed.
