KAIAPOI.

At the Magistrate's Court at Kaiapoi today, before Mr Wyveru Wilson, S.M., a number of charges of failing to render military service were dealt with. Moses Butters, Hugh Kearna, and Hugh Henry I'etrio were convicted and ordered to pay costs. James Henry Moore, Gilbert Hirst, and Stanley Maurice Orchard were fined 10/- and costs. Roy Shakespeare Ay res was convicted and discharged, and a charge against Michael Joseph Lynskey was dismissed. Charges against Alexander Marshall and Edward L. Bailey were adjourned to March 5. John Davey was fined 5/- and costs for a breach of his prohibition order.
