PAHIATUA, February 19

John Miller McNarry Duncan, aged 41, was killed by a big fall of metal in a quarry where ho was working at Rakanui. He received shocking injuries. Another man, Win. Cutler, had a narrow escape.

The pit had been frequently inspected, and no danger was apparent. Deceased leaves a wife and several children at Makuri.
