The Emperor Karl, the Archduke Eugene, Marshal von Hindenburg, and General von Ludendorff recently visited the Austro-Jtalian front. They held a council of war, at which von Hindenburg considered that the Austrian defences were inadequate, and urged the immediate construction of additional works.
