VALIANT SERVICE.
MILITARY MEDAL AWARDED. CORPORAL R. W. STEEL. Advice has been received that another of the old boys of the Ashburton High School has won distinction by valiant service at the front. Cor-
poral R. W. Steel, of the New Zealand Field Artillery, has been awarded the Military Medal. Corporal Steel left with the Bth Reinforcement, and after being in Egypt for some time left for France, where he has been up to the present.
