BALLOTED MEN MEDICALLY EXAMINED. Another big batch of men who were drawn in the first ballot are undergoing examination by the Medical Board at the Christchureh area group recruiting office to-day. The detailed results of the examination of balloted men which was held at the Christchureh recruiting or'licc on Wednesday has now been made available for publication. The number of men examined is now shown to have been 62. Of these, 14 were passed as lit. for active service beyond the seas. Two were classed as lit for active service after undergoing specific medical, surgical, or dental treatment in camp or public hospital. Eight were classed as permanently unfit for active service beyond the seas, but fit for home service, and the remaining 38 were rejected as permanently unlit for either active or home service. EXAMINATION OF VOLUNTEERS. No medical examination of voluntary recruits will be held this evening or on Monday afternoon. VOLUNTARY RECRUITING FAILS. For some time past voluntary recruiting in the Christchureh area group has been at a very low ebb.
