POLICE PROMOTIONS.
NO TRANSFERS AT PRESENT. [Special to The Sun.] WELLINGTON. December 8. The promotion of Supt. O'Donovan to the post of Police Commissioner, and the transfer of Inspector Norwood from Invercargill to Wellington, will be followed naturally by a fairly extensive rearrangement of higher positions in the police service, but promotions and transfers that have been planned will not be announced at present. It is understood that no officers will be moved just now.
