SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

The Belfast School Committee, met on Tuesday evening, there being present: Messrs Spencer (chairman), Blagley, Guilds, Lawn, Marshall, llalligau, and the Rev. T. M. Cu'rnow. The head master reported the average attendance for the month: —Main school 111!, infants 89. As a result of the bottle campaign over 4000 bottles had been collected by the children and forwarded to the Lady Liverpool depot. A vote of thanks was passed to Messrs Brown and llalligau for their kindness in carting the bottles to the Belfast station. Miss Brown, teacher at the infants' school, tendered her resignation, having been appointed to the Spreydon School. It was decided to close the school for Christmas holidays as from December 15, reopening on January 20. The visiting committee for the month is Messrs Blagley and the Rev. Curnow.
