| The first prize fat cow at the Little River Show was sold by auction at Addington today, and was purchased for export at £lB 2/(5. So far, voting- on the Chri.stcliui'ch City Council's proposal to borrow a, sum of £(!0,000 for further capital for the city's electrical undertaking, the poll on which is Ijeing taken to-day, lias proceeded but slowly. The poll will close at 7 p.m. The result will be announced at the Art Gallery booth. A military funeral was accorded this afternoon to the remains of Lieut. G. ; i S. Lambie, area officer at Kaiapoi, and , ' formerly of the teaching staff of Christ's ! College, who was killed in a shooting accident near Rotherham on Sunday. I The Christ's College Cadets—provided i the firing party, besides a detachment lat the funeral, and the Boys' High j School Cadets also sent a detachment, ; Lieut. Lambie having been a scholar of the Boys' High School.
