RUA'S SON ADMITS PERJURY. Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 4. At the Magistrate's Court this afternoon, Benjamin Biddle, Rua's son, pleaded guilty to committing perjury at Rua's trial in the Supreme Court, Auckland, by swearing that Constable Skinner was the man who fired the first shot at Maungapohotu in the affray on April 2. lie had made a voluntary statement to Senior-Sergeant Cassells that he had been induced to swear so, but he nowadmitted that it .was untrue. He declined to have a lawyer, ami said he was heartily sick of the whole affair. He was remanded to the Supreme Court. Auckland, for sentence. Similar charges against four other Maoris will bo taken on Tuesday.
