THE GENERAL FUND. The following additional subscriptions have been received: —Rakaia Branch (per Mrs Blakiston), comforts, £1; Mr E. W. Furniss (prisoners of war), 15/-: Mrs Jas. Borthwick, £10; Robinson's Bay (per Mis Orme), comforts, 9/-; proceeds of concert given at Pendarvis by Barnstormers (per Miss A. A. Doak), £lO 19/-; collected at Miss Cox's breakup (per Miss Cox) £5, per Miss Pennie Marshall £3 13/4 (£8 13/4); Woolston School Staff (per Miss Mills, monthlv), £1 4/6. The Ladies' Committee acknowledge, with thanks, receipt of gifts in kind from the following: —EUesmere School (per Miss Georgina Clephane), Sydenham Branch (per Mrs Anderson), Horsley Downs Branch (per Mrs Lance). Horrelville Branch (per Mrs Horrell), Woodend School, Opawa Branch, Omihi School Children (per Almr. Clarkson. SPOTSWOOD-PARNASSUS BRANCH. The members of this branch met three times during last month, the attendance at each meeting being good. The following goods were packed and sent to the Central Depot:—34 pairs pyjamas, 7 shirts. 3 pants, 4 vests, 16 jackets, 30 pairs mittens, 10 balaclavas, 38 pairs hand-knitted socks, 13 pairs knitted bed socks, 6 cholera belts, 600 cotton-wool swabs, and 533 bandages.

The school children sent in 2S handkerchiefs, C pairs mittens, 6 wallets, 100 bandages, and 1 face washer. The resignations of Mr and Mrs Legg were received witli regret. The former assisted by collecting all subscriptions on the Parnassus side of the river, and the latter was a keen worker and general supporter of Red Cross work.
