CANTERBURY COLLEGE.
BOARD OF GOVERNORS. The Canterbury College Board of Governors met this afternoon, Mr J. C. Adams presiding. There were also present: Messrs L. B. Wood, W. Izard, H. Boyd, T. H. Davey, T. Hughes, H. D. Ac-land, S. 11. Scager, W. Brock, T. W. Adams, and Dr Lester. •The College Committee recommended that Miss E. M. Mclutosh, second assistant mistress at the Girls' High School, be granted leave of absence during 1917, and that Miss D.'Letts be appointed locum tenens during her absence. The committee had approved of the appointment of Miss B. Bambery as instructress in swimming at the Girls' High School for the third term of the current year, vice Mrs Mayne resigned. The committee had approved of the&erection of a memorial brass at the Bovs' High School, in memory of tho late Mr T. H. Jackson. The report was adopted.
