SUPREME COURT.

A RATING CASE. The hearing was concluded before his Honour Mr Justice Sim in the Supreme Court yesterday of the case of Fletcher and others v. (he Wainono Drainage Board. This was an originating summons brought to determine certain questions as lo the inclusion of the plaintiffs in the board district, and Hie classification of his land for rating purposes. Plaintiffs also questioned the legality of certain special loans, and the rales made to secure the repayment of interest in connection with them. Messrs Kinnerney (of Waimate), and Lucas (of Timaru) appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr S. G. Raymond, K.C., with him Mr Twyneham (instructed by Hamilton and Filch, of Wuimate) for the defendant board. Decision was reserved.
