In speaking at a luncheon, Liei.it.Colonel Dollman said that it was almost impossible to conceive the magnitude of the war. In France the casualties had been so great that it was imperative that Australian Reinforcements should he continuous. Lieut.-Colonel Weir declared that when he heard aboard the transport the result of the referendum, he felt he could heap ashes on his head in misery. Australia had not played the giune as British soldiers and men. He thought the visit of a few Zeppelins to Australia would do good.
