Rene Colaert, Mayor of Ypres, sued the "Fall Mall Gazette," and the "Manchester Guardian" for damages for libel, for alleging that he was a traitor, and had been shot for con* cealing arms and ammunition in. Spies for the Germans. A verdict by consent was returned for £I3OO damages, with costs.
