ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

HAND INJURED. A man named George Thomas Walter Stac.e, a railway surfaceman living at Waipara, met with a painful accident yesterday while cleaning a motor cycle. His left hand became entangled between the chain and sprocket of the machine, and three fingers were badly mutilated. Ho was taken to the Christchurch Hospital, where an operation was performed, parts of the injured fingers being removed. This morning he 'Was reported to be doing well.
