"OUR DAY" FUND. The following additional subscriptions ■have been received at the office of the Red Cross Fund, 110 Worcester Street, C'hrjstchurch:—Amount previously acknowledged £9572 7/-, Canterbury Bricklayers' Industrial Union of Workers (per C. E. Jones) £5, Ashburton "Our Day" effort, by Ladies' Red Cross j Committee £llls IS/6, Rangitata Road Board £lO, West Eyreton School (further contribution) £2 10/-, Kumaraßed I Cross, proceeds of sale of table centre and cushion (transferred from General Fund) £7; total, £10,712 15/0. UPPER RICCARTON. A garden fete is being organised by the Upper Riccarton Red Cross workers, to raise funds to enable the branch to continue its good work, for which at ! present there is so much need. The fete will be held at "Baronscourt," Upper Riccarton, in Mr T. Kincaid s j beautiful grounds, on Saturday, Decenij ber !). A full programme of attractions will be provided, also a large I quantity of Christinas goods will be on j sale. A concert, organised by Mr W. Lunn, I in aid of the local Red Cross Fund, will I be given by leading Christchurch artists in Ihe Church Schoolroom, Upper Riccarton, on Thursday, December 7. An excellent programme will be provided, i and a crowded house is anticipated.
