NORTH CANTERBURY CLUB. The fourth annual meeting of the North Canterbury Swimming Club was held in ihe N.A.. and J'. Association's rooms last evening, the president (Mr \V. T. Wilson) occupying the chair. The balance-sheet showed:—Receipts £2O 6/2: expenditure (including i'lo vent for hath), 118 12/6; leaving a credit balance of CI 13/8. The club now has 19 members on active service, and three have returned from the war.

The Borough Council's offer to loa.se th* bath to tlie club for the sum of £5, being hull' Hie charge made last .year, was accepted. 11 was decided that the committee wait upon the Borough Council in reference to allowing family bathing, several members pointing out the advisability of being idlowed to leach their own children to swim. It was stated that in other towns family bathing was a great success, and for some reason one of the councillors in Rangiora had strongly objected to it. It was resolved that in future, instead of making a charge of Id for each time a juvenile used the bath, a charge for the year of 1/6 for swimmers under 10 years be made. The following officers for the ensuing year were elected:—President) Mr K. P. Brown; vice-presidents, Messrs H. 1). van Ascli, \V. S. Shilton, V. A. Faubester; captain, .T. Jordan; deputy-captain, i). Blake; secretary and treasurer, .1. Kinley; auditor, C. 1. Jennings; committee, Messrs W. Buttars, H. Kinley, Cobden-Cox, "W. T. Wilson, and A.
