Captain Hinsch, the representative of the Deutschland's owners, was the sole survivor of the lug which the Dcuschland sunk by collision. The damage to the Deutschland consists of a twisted stern, which it is believed can be easily repaired. In some quarters there is a hint lhal the Deutschland was used to supply war submarines. Tbe "Evening Telegram" stales:— "It occurs to us that the 'innocent merchantmen 9 was not as innocent as she might be."
