SALES DEPOT. The week-end sale of home-made food supplies will take place at the depot, Cathedral Square, on Friday night and Saturday morning. The ladies of St. Paul's congregation will be in charge, and will have on offer a large variety of cakes, fruit, and meat pies, plum puddings, Christmas cakes, and other culinary delicacies, also eggs, butter, bacon, ham, brawn, chutney, jams, groceries, fruit, vegetables, seeds, bed-ding-out plants, and a special display of cut (lowers-. Those who took part in the successful sale of button-holes and llowers in Cathedral Square during the carnival holidavs were: —Mesdames G. II Rhodes, A. O.'Merton, A. H. Bristed, Longton, C. J. Treleavan, J. (J. Wilson, and B. SethSmith, Misses Munro, N. Bowney, E. Barrett, S. Rhodes, Smith, E. Smith, Steele, Reid, Brown, Barrett, Wright, Rose, Burrowes, I'eate, Bliss, Hargreaves, Daley, Hawley, Carter, Hill, V. Bowker, Edwards, and K. Scott. Mrs W. H. E. Wanklyn redonated the ham she won last week.

The following additional subscriptions have been received for sick and wounded soldiers at the various hospitals where New Zealanders are lying:—Motueka Red Cross (monthly), £25: Riwaka Red Cross (monthlv), £ls; F.D.W., £:'.; Miss C. HALSWELL. The following work was done by the Halswell Branch during September and October: —370 manitails, IliO wringers, /SO triangulars, 360 body binders, 180 slings, 40 toilet squares, 510 rolled bandages, .'! scarves, 17 pairs socks, and 20 jug covers. AMBERLEY AND BROOMFIELD BRANCH. About 40 persons attended a meeting held at Amberley on Tuesday evening, convened for the purpose of devising means to raise financial assistance to enable the branch to continue the good work that it had been carrying on for the last two years. It was resolved to hold a garden party and Children's Queen Carnival in the Amberley Domain on Saturday, December 16, and committees were formed to carry the affair out, as follow: —Children's Carnival, Refreshments, Produce, Sports, Side-shows, Stalls, and Competition. The Rev. H. Spencer and Mr A. Luhv were appointed secretaries, and the Rev. W. F. Kuowles treasurer. Very generous offers of support were received.
