WEDDING.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon at St. Luke's Church by the Rev. F. N. Taylor, when Miss Gladys Hancock was married to Mr Frederick Agassiz. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very charming in white crepe de chine, with a court train of white satin, lined with ninon. She wore a veil arranged as a "mob cap, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. The chief bridesmaid was her cousin, Miss Gladys Broome, in a dainty gown of white satin and ninon, with a pale pink hat. Miss Euth Johnson acted as second bridesmaid, and looked very nice in a dress of apricot silk, with black lace hat. They both carried very pretty bouquets of apricot and white roses and ferns. There, were two little flower girls, Miss Iris Elstob, niece of the bride, and Miss Lilian Townend, niece of the bridegroom, who were prettily dressed, and carried baskets of flowers. Mr Frank Agassiz acted as best man, and Mr Cyril Hancock as groomsman. Master Ivan Elstob made a charming little page. Mrs Hancock, mother of the bride, was dressed in a smart black tailored costume, with hat to match. Mrs Elstob, sister of the bride, wore a navy costume, with a black and white hat. After the ceremony Mrs Hancock received her guests in the St. Asaph Street Hall, where a dainty afternoon tea was served. The evening was spent in dancing and games.
