Armgaard Karl Graves, author of ''Secrets of the German War Office," who -has been arrested in America for attempting to blackmail Countess Bernstorff, makes sensational allegations. lie says that Count Bernstorff and his friends made $1,000,009, playing with stocks on advance information regarding the activities of U53. lie asserts that code letters which he offered to the Embassy contain diplomatic secrets of great importance to the United States, which the German Embassy is afraid to permit him to translate. Graves, therefore, does not expect the Embassy to proceed with the charges. Count Bernstorff, interviewed, characterises the charges Against him as "rot."
