WEDDING AT UNITARIAN CHURCH
An interesting wedding took place at the Unitarian Church, Wellington, on Saturday afternoon, when Miss Rene Queree, only daughter of Mrs Ernest Queree, was married to Mr L. F. Wallis, son of Mr Wallis, contractor, of Wellington. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr Theo. Queree, wore a beautiful bridal gown of white Georgette, made very full, with a court train of white satin lined with palest pink. This was fastened at the shoulders with pearl ornaments, and the two corners of the hem turned back, one with pearl embroidery, the other with a true-lovers' knot in pink tulle. She wore a tulle veil, perfectly plaiu, fastened either side of the head with tiny knots of orange blossom. Her bouquet was a beautiful shower of white and pale pink carnations and maidenhair fern. As ornaments she wore a long rope of pearls, 1 and pearl earrings, the gift of the bridegroom, and an opal and pearl brooch, the gift of the bridegroom's parents. The only bridesmaid was Miss Biddy Peterson. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Leslie Holland as best man. The service was a particularly pretty one, and a feature was the special music, sung by a choir of a dozen voices, under Mr Hamilton Hodges, who gave the Bridal March from "Lohengrin" at the conclusion of the ceremony. Afterwards Mrs Queree entertained some 40 or 50 guests at the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, where a wedding repast was served.
