The Opouri is due at Lyttelton to-morrow from Oreymouth with a load of timber. She sails on her return trip on Tuesday. The Pateena has been running for some days minus a part of a propellor blade, and it was intended to dock the vessel tomorrow for repairs, but it has since been decided to allow her io continue, as she has been doing for a time. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Turakina is due at Auckland on Monday next. She is expected at I.vttclton. via Wellington, about October 2(1.

The tug Kopidai, which has been sold by thi' Otngo Harbour Hoard to a Sydney firm. arrived at Wellington on Thursday afternoon. Captain l'hinn, who will accompany the Koputai, is late of the Newcastle pilot service, and is well known as a luiilder and owner of several tugs in Sydney. lie was also designer, builder, and surveyor of Hie Eastbourne Borough Council's ferry steamer Cobar. He has had many stirring experlencs on the New South Wales coast, and is a leading authority on tugs.

The C. and 1). chartered steamer Vermont which has arrived at Auckland from New York, via Panama Canal, for some lime past.
