A Russian communique states: —Stubborn battles continue from Vladimir Volynski to the Dniester. We captured some positions. Oni' detachments in the Caucasus made a sudden fosumption of the ofTVnisve, and, with tbo co-operation of the fleet, advanced over ;i wide front on tlie coastal region, capturing a lortitied position in the region of the river Karaburnum. Our advance guards bj'oke througb westward of Kalkst and ohivtlik, inflicting great losses. We destroyed earthworks in the enemy's rear. The Russo-Ruiiianian offensive in Dobrudja continues.
