QUIET ON THE SOMME EYES NOW ON LEMBERG AND MONASTIR BULGARIAN LINE PIERCED ALLIES PRESSING THE RETREATING FOE BITTER FIGHTING IN GALICIA. Good reports have been received from all the Allied fronts, where offensives are generally in progress. In the advance against Monastir the Bulgarian lines have been pierced, and the Bulgars are in full retreat. The Allied advance guards are crossing the river Cerna, north of Brod. On the Struma front the fighting has been completely successful, and the whole of the village of Jenikoi has been captured. Matters have been quiet on the Western front, intermittent night shelling having occurred south of the Ancre. The national movement is still growing in Greece, and the National Army is now 16,000 strong.
