The Sun.

WILL PAT (1) £2OO to the legal personal representative of the bona fide holder of this Insurance Coupon if the holder shall be killed * y an accident within the Dominion of New Zealand, to any Railway Passenger Train or Passenger Steamer in which such holder is travelling as a fare-pay-ing passenger, or to any Public Omnibus, Coach, Tramway Car, Cab, or Carrier's Cart which is being driven by a licensed driver plying for public hire and in which the holder is travelling as a fare-paying passenger; or (2) £l5O if the holder shall be killed by an accident to any cycle which the holder is actually riding and not being propelled by mechanical power; or (3) £SO to the holder should such nccident as above defined not prove fatal but cause the loss of one limb above the wrist or ankle, or the loss of the sight of one eye; or (4) £1 drfJ - PER WEEK by way of an allowance for a period not exceeding 13 weeks should such accident as above defined render the holder temporarily and totally unable to follow his or her usual vocation. PROVIDED THAT the above undertaking is subject to the following special conditions, which are of the essence of the contract, viz.:—

(a) That such death or loss result within 3t days after the accident. (b) In the event of any dispute between ths holder and The Snn as to whether such disablement renders the holder temporarily or totally unable to follow his or her usual vocation, it is agreed that such dispute shall be referred to the decision of a medical referee to be nominated by The Sun, whose decision shall be binding upon the parties, (c) That notice in case of injury or dead be given to The Son, at its Office, 87 Worcester Street, Christchurch, within 14 days after the accident. (d) That the benefits of this insurance ark payable only to persons over 15 years and under 70 years of age. (e) That this Insurance is limited to one Insurance Coupon associated with this publication for any one holder. (f) That the holder be a subscriber for The Sun duly registered in the books of Tka Sun, or that the holder be a reader who has given to a recognised Agent for The San a signed order for the daily delivery of The Sun for a period of not less than six week days, and thereafter until countermanded, in either of which cases this insurance shall hold good during the currency of such subscription or order as from 6 p.m. of the first day oX delivery, including any days during such period on which The San is not issued, but not beyond 6 p.m. on Hay 1, 1917. (g) That the husband or wife of a subscriber or regular reader as defined in (f) above shall be entitled t<j the benefits aforesaid. (hj) That no compensation shall be payable under this Insurance for any accident, fatal or otherwise, due to or arising out of or consequent upon war or invasion.
