ANNUAL COMPETITIONS. The programme last evening was a very interesting one from a spectacular point of view. The action songs were particularly gooii, and showed careful training. The musical portion of the programme went well, and there was a good attendance. Mr L. M. Isitt, M.P., occupied the chair, and gave a very interesting address. The prize winners for Wednesday evening were: Violin Solo, Section I. —Thos. Power, Avonside (74 marks) 1; Kdmond Harper, Richmond (72 marks). L'; Lance Woodcock, Aldington (51 marks) 3. Club Solo, Section I (female). — Dulcie Hull, Edgeware Road (90 marks) 1; Winnie Cousins, Moorhouse Avenue (Sti marks) .''. Club Solo.—Mr 11. Fielding, Moorhouse Avenue (94 marks) 1. Sacred Solo, Section 11. (male).—Mr S. Clothier, Linwood Methodist (8(5 marks) 1. Sacred Solo, Section 11. (female). —■ Miss 0. Lawrence, St. Albans Baptist, (S:! marks) 1. Band of Hope Address.—Mrs A. G. Williams, Richmond, (S:i marks) 1. The programme for this evening will include vocal solos, recitations, pianoforte solos, and hoop drill. The Rev. .1.
