The "Berliner Tageblatt" dwells on the growing 'difficulties arising from the shortage of petrol since the war with Rumania.
The Government has - restricted supplies lor lighting, purposes, and is considering' the utilising of more daylight by the abolition of the workers' midday intervals.

FOODSTUFFS' BIG ADVANCE,

The German statistical department publishes figures showing that, as compared with April, 1908, the price of fish in April, 1916, has increased 300 per cent., potatoes by 23G per cent., and eggs by 218 per cent.
