WOOL FREIGHTS.
A WANGANUI PROTEST. Press Association. WANGANUI, October 5.. Mr G. V. Pearce, member for l'atca, has telegraphed to the Hon. Jas. Allen:—"No doubt you noted the disgraceful grab by the shipping monopoly of a pennv per pound on wool, meaning £1,000,000 to the sheepfarmers of New Zealand. I would urge the Government to buy or charter ships, and break down the monopoly, as wool can easily be held in New Zealand for some time."
