ANNUAL COMPETITIONS.
Another very good programme was rendered at the Choral Hall last evening by those competing in the contest. There was a very good attendance, and Mr E. A. M. Leaver occupied the chair. The following are the prize winners for Tuesday night: — Pianoforte Solo, Class C. —Dorothy Wicks, Durham Street Mission, 79 marks, 1; Beulah Burrell (Sydenham United) and Lawrence Rickard (Linwood Methodist), equal, 76 marks,2; Irene Leaver (Linwood 1.0. R.), 72 marks, 3.
Vocal Solo, Class B (male). —Fred Chapman (Woolston), 87 marks, 1; Raymond Stockdale (Avonside), 82 marks, 2; Alexander Black (Baston Memorial), 70 marks, 3. Tenor Solo. —Mr P. Austin (Richmond), 79 marks, 1. The programme to-night will be an attractive one—Recitations, section 2a; pianoforte solos, B; bass solo; action songs by Richmond, Avonside, and Sydenham Societies: dialogue by Moorhouse Avenue. The chair will be taken by Mr L. M. Isitt, M.P.
