ESCAPES TO ALLIED FLEET.
"The Times" Rrrviee (Received October 4, 12.45 p.m.) LONDON, October 3.
A correspondent at Athens states that Lieut. Bumbules, commander of the torpedo boat Thetis, executed a daring manoeuvre. The Government, suspecting his loyalty, ordered the Thetis to be towed to the arsenal.
Bumbules, pretending that he needed urgent steam to raise the inchors, went full speed out of the larbour, and joined the Allied Fleet.
