EXHAUSTION OF GERMAN RESERVES.
BOYS ON THE WEST FRONT.
THE 1918 CLASS NOW IN THE SOMME TRENCHES. United Service. , (Received October 4, 9.20 a.m.) PARIS, October 3. The French General Staff asserts that the Germans move 24 divisions weekly. Germany's 1917 class received only three months' training. The French have identified men on the Western battlefield as belonging to the 1918 class, averaging 17 years of age. They began entering Ihe depots in June, and were evidently destined for next summer's battles.
