ISOLATED MEN.

WOUNDED IN SHELL HOLE, "The Times" Service. LONDON, October 1.

"The Times" correspondent with Ihe British Headquarters states that the Canadian troops, fighting on the former Australian front, found a shell hole far ahead of the old front line, in which were three Australians, two of whom were wounded. They had pushed into Ihe enemy's country alone. A shell wounded two of Ihem, and the third dragged his comrades into the shell hole. II was impossible to come oul in daylight, so Ihe unwounded man each nigh I stole out lo fetch water bottles and rations from the German dead lying near. He nursed his comrades, keeping himself and his patients alive for nine days. One of the wounded men is doing well but the other unfortunately is septic.
