FATE OF THE BABY KILLERS. OTHER RAIDERS FLEE BEFORE DEFENSIVE FIRE. Australian and A'./. Cable Association. (Received October :i. 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, October 2. It is officially reported thai 10 (icrman airships, one of the largest type, approached London at 10 o'clock last night. (iitufire drove off the raiders, who were pursued. One raider attempted to return from the north-west, but the anti-aircraft guns and our aeroplanes brought her to earth in flames at Potters Bar at midnight. A second airship was driven off at 1 o'clock. The bombs which the enemy dropped caused no damage or casualties. The remainder wandered aimlessly about the eastern counties, promiscuously dropping bombs. The falling Zeppelin broke into several pieces, the largest being impaled on a tree, while burning furiously. Six bodies were found in a Held some distance away. The men had apparently jumped out of the airship.
