What is described as being practically a part of an Australasian application for improved conditions by the slaughtermen came before the Arbitration Court to-day, when the local union brought a case against the employers. One demand asks for payment at the rate of 32/G per 100 for killing sheep, an advance of 5/- on the existing rate. The hearing is proceeding.
