RED CROSS.
UPPER RICCARTON. The monthly meeting of the I'pper Ricearton Branch of the Red Cross Hociety was held on Tuesday, when Mrs Morton presided over a good attendance of members. The income for the month was £.'l2 10/-, and accounts amounting to £o2 9/6 were passed for payment. Last week the following garments were packed and forwarded to the depot:—24 flannel vests, 24 day shirts, 2.'i pairs socks, 6 pairs slippers, 22 suits pyjamas, 2 surgical nightshirts, 18 pillowcases, :! operation coats, 19 underpants, 5 body belts, !) bed jackets, <> treasure bags, i) slings, 70 handkerchiefs, LI face cloths, 45 operation cloths, 132 medicine cloths, ill) swabs, 5 jug covers, 12 medicine covers, 3 dusters, and 'S> washers. Gifts have been received from the following: —Mrs Campbell Hobbs, Mrs Tipping, Mrs Shaud, Mrs R. Saville, Mrs Finlayson, Mrs Ellis, Miss F. Ellis, Mrs F. Holmes, Miss Myra Carleton, Mrs S. Guy, Miss Hollobon, and Mrs English; and donations from Mrs R. Mason 10/-, Mr S. Campbell 2/6, and A Friend 1/-.
