ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT. About 6 o'clock last night a motor car accident occurred, in which a man named Nynard and his daughter were injured. Nynard, who was employed in Mr H. Voss's bakery at Hornby, had just alighted from the Sockburn tram, and was walking along the road with some others, when a motor approached from behind. Mr Nynard and his daughter were struck, and the car passed over Mr Nynard. When the car had stopped, he was still underneath it. He was removed, and Dr Inglis was summoned. An ambulance was then telephoned for, and Nynard was removed to the/ hospital, where it was found that lie was not seriously injured. His daughter's injuries were very slight. A SPLIT THUMB. A Mr 3 Smith, employed at R. Roberts and Co.'s tailoring establishment, was admitted to the outpatients' ward of the hospital this morning, suffering from a split thumb, sustained by having had it cut by the needle of a power machine. COACHBUILDER INJURED. Mr G. Campbell, eoachbuilder, of Coronation Street, was admitted to the hospital yesterday, suffering from injuries resulting from the body of a moto car falling on him. His injuries were rather serious, but he is progressing satisfactorily.
