NORTHERN A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
A general meeting of the Northern Agricultural and Pastoral Association was hejd yesterday, Air T. Leech, president, in the chair.
The president explained that the meeting had been called to decide whether the association's annual show this year should occupy one or two days. A good deal of discussion took place :is to whether' the meeting wns in order, the chairman finally ruling it wns.
The poll resulted in 7s voting for one dav, and ~>] for two days. Mr i«. Melutossh moved that this meeting recommend to the Finance Committee that 7.3 per cent', of the net profits shall be devoted to patriotic purposes, provided that the association does not retain more than £IOO. This was seconded by Mr VV. A. Keleher, and carried.
Mr T. R. Cresswell, principal of the Rangiora High School, made a strong appeal on behalf of the Belgium Children's Fund, and this resulted in the sum of £l9 being collected in (lie room.
